Resistance – Raymond Gureme

Raymond Gurême was born in 1925 in France to a Manouche Traveller family.  He travelled through France and Belgium performing in his father’s circus and cinema business until the family was incarcerated in 1940 by the Vichy Government.

Here he tells some of that story to  photographer and Gypsy/Traveller activist, Shannon MacDonald.

In French with English language voiceover.
