Crystal’s Vardo

Crystal’s Vardo is a theatre production which uses dance, drama humour and music to share the rich culture and diverse histories of the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities.

Usually, Crystal’s Vardo can be booked for schools, community organisations or local venues.

However, coronavirus (Covid-19) has meant that many will miss out on this year’s performances, so we’ve had to make some changes to make sure everybody gets a chance to see it.

The video will be available on YouTube from 1st – 30th June 2020 and FFT will be hosting Watch Parties on our Facebook page, at 7pm Thursday 4th June and 5pm Sunday 28th June.

To stay up to date with Crystal’s Vardo, you can follow the production on Twitter and Facebook.

Speaking on the new format of Crystals’ Vardo for GRTHM, Suzanna King, Director of Crystal’s Vardo said:

“We’re saddened that we’ll be unable to take Crystal’s Vardo to audiences across the country. However, we’re very excited to make the production accessible to children and adults who may have never gotten the chance to see the real thing – all you have to do is click to go online and Crystal’s Vardo can be in your living room!”
